The Meridian House, part of the Meridian International Center, has been a treasured event spot for years. It is right next door to Meridian Hill Park, also known as Malcolm X Park, where Thomas Jefferson wished to establish an American Prime Merdian to supplant the then-world-standard in Greenwich, England.
